We had an early start to catch the 7:16 train to Salzburg. The train ride from Villach to Salzburg was very picturesque.
At Salzburg we discovered we would have to change at Muhlburg to get to Munich, making three changes to get to Stuttgart.
The connections were pretty good, and we arrived at Stuttgart at about 4:30. After a bit of essential big city shopping by Tracey we caught the S-bahn to Marbach, our fifth train for the day, arriving at our guesthouse at about 6pm.
We sent a text to Pam, and shortly received a reply that she and her friend were having dinner around the corner.
After settling into our room we walked down the street to be enthusiastically greeted by Andrew and Pam. We joined them, sitting outside at a nice little Italian restaurant.
After dinner we went for a wander around the charming old town centre.
Tomorrow we ride to Bad Wimpfen, meeting up with Knud and Erika on the way.
